White House Weighs UAP Messaging Ahead of the Elections

Washington is at a pivotal moment in shaping U.S. policy on the disclosure of information related to Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAPs). According to information published by Liberation Times, the White House is reviewing a draft presidential address that would officially discuss cases documented in government files and attributed to a possible non-human origin. According to sources cited by the publication, the speech was planned to take place before the November 2026 midterm elections.

The same sources say there is a critical window for the disclosure. If the address is not delivered within that timeframe, the effort to make this information public could be halted, according to individuals involved in the process who spoke with Liberation Times.

The planning is part of a broader framework established throughout 2026 within the U.S. government. Coordination of the initiative within the Executive Branch is led by Stephen Miller, the White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy. Meanwhile, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) has confirmed the creation of the UAP Governance Board, an interagency body bringing together representatives from the Armed Forces, security agencies, the intelligence community, and civilian organizations to coordinate investigations, improve data analysis, and oversee the declassification process initiated in May 2026 under President Donald Trump’s directive.

According to the ODNI, the new structure also includes external advisory groups. Among them is the UAP Scientific Advisory Council, whose participation has been publicly confirmed, while other advisory bodies remain undisclosed.

Another significant step occurred on August 1, when Representative Eric Burlison released a memorandum authorized by the federal administration and signed by Aaron Lukas, Principal Deputy Director of National Intelligence. The document releases current and former government employees and contractors from non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) related to UAP programs.

The directive allows these individuals to provide information to designated authorities without fear of administrative penalties resulting from previous confidentiality agreements. The memorandum also establishes the Presidential UAP Reporting and Unsealing System for Unidentified Encounters (PURSUE), a task force created to receive, review, and organize reports that may be eligible for future declassification.

According to the memorandum, the notification was sent to 18 leaders of intelligence, defense, and national security agencies, who were given 30 days to appoint representatives and implement the required procedures within their respective organizations.

According to the report, these disclosure efforts have also encountered resistance within parts of the government. Sources claim that defense industry contractors and groups associated with the CIA are seeking to limit broad public disclosure, arguing that it could expose classified programs and sensitive ongoing operations.
